Social Meets

The Social Meets programme is now being carried out

in collaboration with the

ABMSAC, AAC, Fell and Rock, and the Rucksack clubs

on a TUESDAY evening as listed below.

 

All the lectures will take place at the Civil Service Club in Great Scotland Yard, London, SW1A 2HJ

Entry is free to TCC Members and guests. Talks start at 7.30pm Reception will give you the location on your arrival. 

 

The club has a bar which serves bar-meals.  There is also a restaurant, waiter service – 2-course meal is £13.00, 3-course is £16.00.

 

Great Scotland Yard runs between Northumberland Avenue and Whitehall. The nearest tube stations are Embankment and Charing Cross.

 

On-street parking is free after 6:30pm - the congestion charge applies only until 6:00pm.

 

Meetings will usually take the form of an invited speaker with or without an accompanying slide show. Topics in the past have ranged from trekking and climbing in the Himalayas to a whistle stop tour of the geology of the Lake District.

In addition, the social meets are an ideal way of getting to meet people for the first time and of course to find out about, and plan, travel arrangements for the forthcoming trips away.

Members of other clubs, and guests, are welcome.
